ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Adviser to Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz met with Indian External Affairs Minister Salman Khursheed in Male on Thursday.
The two leaders also reviewed the progress made towards normalising bilateral relations since the meeting of the two prime ministers in New York last September.
They expressed satisfaction over steps at the technical level for cooperation in the power sector and cross-LoC trade and travel CBMs.
Addressing 35th session of the SAARC Council of Ministers in Male‚ he said it is important to develop stronger economic linkages and programs for the social uplift of the people.
He said such programs should cover poverty alleviation‚ environment and climate change‚ food security and energy sectors.
Sartaj Aziz said cooperation in the field of energy is pivotal to the economic development and integration of the region.
