Summary Members belonging to opposition parties except MQM staged walkout from the National Assembly.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Opposition members walked out from the House today (Friday) over Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar’s absence, Dunya News reported.
Speaking on the occasion‚ Leader of the Opposition Syed Khurshid Shah said that important issues were to be discussed in the House but absence of the Ministers at this stage is matter of grave concern.
It may be mentioned here that Chaudhry Nisar was scheduled to conclude arguments over issue of drone attacks, however, government official confirmed that he will return to the House on Monday.
Khurshid Shah said that government is not giving any importance to the Parliament, adding that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif himself did not appear in the Senate or National Assembly for last five months.
Earlier, the opposition delivered a unanimous statement saying that they will continue to boycott the proceedings till the Prime Minister takes them into confidence and gives a policy statement about the dialogue with Taliban on Monday.
