Summary Supreme Court has sought report from Secretary Interior on Islamabad firing incident.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Special Anti-terrorism court has rejected the bail plea of Kanwal‚ one of the main accused of Islamabad firing incident.
Earlier‚ the accused was presented before the ATC judge in Islamabad today‚ who rejected her bail plea. Meanwhile, Supreme Court has sought report from Secretary Interior till 13 September on the Islamabad firing incident in which a insane man Sikandar besieged an area of capital for almost five hours.
On Thursday three member bench of the SC restarted the hearing of the case under the supervision of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary.
Additional Attorney General Shah Khawar told the court that the report is ready but Federal Secretary Interior is busy in Karachi, so he could not sign the report in the court regarding the incident, so some more time may be allowed for the submission of the report in the court.
In was told the court that the investigation of the case is underway on which CJP said in his remarks that government itself should take action on the matter instead of hiding behind the court.
