Summary Provincial government has been ordered to send back the deputation officers in their departments.
KARACHI (Dunya News)-The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday ordered the provincial government to immediately send back the officers working on deputation in different government departments, with the direction to submit progress report in Karachi Registry on Tuesday.
Two-member bench comprising Justice Sarmad Jalal Usmani and Justice Amir Hani Muslim resumed hearing of petitions regarding deputation officers.
Provincial Secretary Services Naseer Jamali submitted his report of officers posted on deputation at different departments of Sindh government including police and excise in the court, saying that majority of officers out of 421 have been removed from their offices while following the Supreme Court order. However, later, the establishment had to appoint at least 85 officers.
The report also said that the summary has been sent to Sindh government regarding sending back to 136 officers but it had not received any reply from the provincial government.
The apex court has ordered that remaining officers be sent back to their departments and submitted report within 24 hours; otherwise, any negligence would be regarded as contempt of the court.
