Summary Chief Justice of Pakistan says judiciary is third pillar of the state for maintenance of balance.


While addressing a grand conference arranged at Hyderabad Bar Council, he said that he had come there to deliver a lecture to his students who were ray of hope for the bright future. 


“So far as law is concerned, it is a vast field. I always found something new every time whenever I consulted any case”, said Chief Justice.


He said that it is duty of every student of law to focus on complicacies of provisions and other aspects of law.
Giving reference to his teachers, Justice Chaudhry said that he had learnt a lot of things from his teachers regarding rule of law.


“Special workshops should be arranged for young scholars so that they may be able to have a grip on their fields. During conferences, legal points particularly civil and criminal used to be discussed in detail”, said Chief Justice.


He made it clear that the main job of lawyer is not to dictate the court; rather his duty is to assist the court regarding law point. Then it is the court to take a decision what is to be done. The lawyers should continue their struggle for rule of law and great cause.


Throwing light on bar elections, Chief Justice said that the main function of the lawyers is to elect their representative with utmost sense of responsibility. The profession of law is highly challenging in the society. So the lawyer should have a grip on latest requirements and modern technology in order to face the challenge. They should consult monthly journals and other research works. Coordination between lawyers and judges would guarantee the quality law.


“Young lawyer should show their sense of responsibility and moral ethics while practicing civil and criminal cases”, said Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.


“The training of lawyers is beneficial for both professional point of view and nursery for qualified judges”, said Chief Justice.


Chief Justice said that the members of bar and bench are two important pillars of judicial system. They should cooperate each other while keep in view rule of law.


“Lawyer played an integral part for independence of judiciary. They should focus their attention on rule of law in consultation with the media for unprecedented success. All stakeholders should play their role for great cause.


He said that he on the behalf of his learned judges he was thankful to the bar members who honoured them in a traditional manner.
