SC seeks details of projects approved by Gilani, Ashraf

Summary Supreme Court has adjourned hearings of suo motu notice of corruption in mega projects.

 
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News): The Supreme Court of Pakistan has adjourned the hearings of suo motu notice of corruption in mega projects approved by former prime ministers Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf till April 10.

 

Three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Wednesday resumed hearings of the notice.

 

The apex court sought clarification from the authorities concerned and ordered them to submit details of approval of CNG stations and answers should be presented before the court para wise.

 

It is pertinent to mention that the Chief Justice had taken notice on media reports regarding embezzlement of funds in the projects started during the tenures of Gilani and Raja.

 

The court adjourned the hearings till April 10.
