Summary Supreme Court of Pakistan has disposed of suo motu case in the Badami Bagh incident on Wednesday.
ISLAMABAD (Online):-A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the case during which Punjab Prosecutor General submitted report, saying that case had been registered against Sawan Masih, blasphemy accused, and 55 others involved in ransacking the neighborhood. The report said that two SHOs, DSPs and SP have been found involved in the incident.
The report further states that the area SHO has been removed from his post for his failure to express responsibility.
IG Punjab Aftab Sultan told the court that the non Muslims colonies are being protected and attention is being paid to make them more secure.
After receiving the report, the SC disposed of the case.
