Summary The election commission has declared 6,512 polling stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as sensitive.

 

PESHAWAR (Dunya News): The first meeting of interim cabinet of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was held in Peshawar on Thursday. The Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Justice (retd) Tariq Pervez presided over the meeting.

 

The meeting reviewed security arrangements for the upcoming general elections. Briefing the media after the meeting, interim information minister Musarrat Qadeem said that more than 81,000 officials would be deployed during election. He further informed that no decision has yet been taken to deploy armed forces during election. However, the army can be called in if necessary.

 

Meanwhile, Election Commissioner Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while briefing the media said that more than 10,500 polling stations have been set up in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA. He further informed that separate polling stations would be set up at the Jalozai Camp for the IDPs from Khyber Agency.
