Summary Supreme Court has said that Sindh government has failed in providing security to the masses.
KARACHI: The Supreme Court of Pakistan in its verdict in Karachi law and order case has said that the Sindh government has failed in providing security to lives and property of the people.
In a written order issued on Friday, the Supreme Court sought report from Military Intelligence (MI) and Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) on Karachi unrest in three days.
The apec court also ordered Sindh government to present report on Abbas Town carnage in three days.
The SC has also directed the concerned authorities to form investigation team comprised of competent and honest officials.
The team, yet to be formed, was directed to bring all culprits involved in Abbas Town tragedy to justice after completing the investigation.
In the verdict, the apex court said that it ordered to depoliticize police but nothing was changed.
The Supreme Court also issued notices to Defence and Interior Secretaries, directing them to submit their replies.
