The three-member commission comprises Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Justice Qazi Faez Isa as its head and Chief Justice Sindh High Court Justice Musheer Alam and Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Justice Iqbal Hameed-ur Rehman started hearing of the case after the Supreme Court granted another six-week extension in the commission’s deadline that expired on March 31.Former DG ISI Shuja Pasha, Husain Haqqani’s counsel Zahid Bukhari, Mansoor Ijaz’s lawyer Akram Sheikh and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Yasin Malik have reached Islamabad High Court (IHC) to attend the proceedings.Counsel of Mansoor Ijaz, Akram Sheikh started cross examining JKLF leader Yasin Malik.Akram Sheik asked Yasin Malik that he holds Indian passport and its citizenship.Justice Faez Isa stopped Akram Sheikh to ask these questions.Akram Sheikh said that Yasin Malik was here to confuse the commission over the issue as he was a product of intelligence agencies.Former ambassador to the US, Husain Haqqani on Wednesday submitted an application in Islamabad High Court excusing to appear before the memo commission for proceedings due to bad health.In his application, Haqqani stated that he is not feeling well and undergoing some medical tests in the United States.Haqqani requested commission to defer the hearing till decision of SC in Haqqani’s plea seeking recording his statement via video link from abroad.
