Rana Sanaullah said that speaking against the head of a defense institution in collaboration with an enemy country is intolerable.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs, Senator Rana Sanaullah, on Wednesday said that if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) attitude remains the same, Imran Khan may be transferred from Adiala Jail.
Speaking on the programme “Dunya Meher Bokhari Kay Sath,” Rana Sanaullah said that no decision has been made yet about transferring him from the jail, but the sit-ins outside Adiala Jail are causing difficulties for the public.
He said that if PTI’s attitude remains the same, the government may consider moving Imran Khan from Adiala Jail. PTI leaders are spreading anarchy. In this manner, they will not be able to meet their party founder.”
Rana Sanaullah asked how can blocking the road be called a peaceful protest? The government and jail administration have a clear stance regarding visitations and added that no meetings can be allowed at 2:00am.
Rana Sanaullah said that after these meetings, the same things happen that our enemy country wants. He said that the PTI founder is using abusive language against Pakistan’s armed forces in tweets. If the PTI founder does not step back, he is heading toward the same fate as the MQM founder, he said.
He said that the jail superintendent had told Uzma Khan not to make political statements in the media after meeting with Imran Khan. Despite the promise, Uzma Khan did exactly that, he said. The jail superintendent has to act according to the law, he added.
Rana Sanaullah said that speaking against the head of a defense institution in collaboration with an enemy country is intolerable. He said that the daily meetings with the PTI founder led to the plan for November 26. We also won the 2018 election, but during his tenure, the PTI founder increased his popularity by snatching our seats, he said.
He further said that PTI is trying to spread anarchy through different tactics. He said that according to my information, PTI founder is availing all required facilities in jail. PTI leaders and members are also creating law and order situation near jail premises, he said.
In reply to a question, he said that PTI should follow the rules and regulations besides jail manual to meet the party founder.
To a question, he said, we have offered talks to PTI leaders but they refused to move forward on many occasions. He said that dialogue is the best option in the democratic system to resolve political issues.
