LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr Yasmin Rashid has been shifted back to Kot Lakhpat Jail after receiving medical treatment at Services Hospital in Lahore, according to official sources.

The former provincial health minister had been hospitalised for the past few days due to a deterioration in her health.

During her stay, she underwent a comprehensive medical evaluation and received necessary treatment.

Following signs of improvement, authorities discharged her and shifted her back to jail under tight security arrangements. However, her legal counsel maintains that she has not fully recovered and expressed concerns over her return to custody.

Dr Yasmin Rashid is currently incarcerated in connection with multiple May 9-related cases, part of an ongoing crackdown on PTI leaders and activists following last year’s political unrest.

Her transfer has once again spotlighted the intersection of health and human rights in politically sensitive detentions, drawing attention from legal observers and political commentators across the country.
