Summary The Indian Army has started a large scale exercise near Pakistani border in Ludhiana.
The exercise has been conducted on the military division level and 10,000 to 12,000 personnel are taking part in it.General officer commanding, Vajra Corps, Lt Gen Munish Sibal said this was an integrated exercise and all wings of the corps were participating, putting to use all equipment they were having, he said. Exercise Pine Parhar is a routine but major military exercise undertaken by the Vajra Corps.The exercise envisages swift mobilisation of units and formations to occupy defences, as also practice offensive manoeuvres.
