North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) refused to call its activities in Libya a breach of the UN resolution that allowed the western allies to air raid the African country, saying that rebels could best protect the citizens in current circumstances.Following the UK, Italy and France also announced to send its experts to train the rebels in Libya. The US said that bullet proof jackets, vehicles, tents, uniforms were part of the aid sent to Libya.
