Summary Japan declared it illegal to enter a 35 kilometre radius of the Fukushima nuclear reactor.

Some 80,000 people have been evacuated from the area and the government imposed a $1200 fine and arrest for violating the no-go zone.People living around the area of the stricken-plant before the March 11 earthquake were urged to leave the area after the city rattled with a 7.2 magnitude quake.However, their entry in the area was not prohibited and they used to make temporary visits to their homes within the zone to take possessions and secure their properties with the tacit acceptance of authorities.
