Summary A nationwide inspection and prevention work is being conducted in this country.

At least 712 people have been confirmed afflicted by A (H1N1) with eight dead in Venezuela. More than three million people, mainly aged above 60 or under seven, and citizens with chronic diseases, have taken influenza vaccine distributed by the government. And more vaccine will be provided nationwide.“The public are really concerned about this flu. We bring our children here to take vaccine out of fear. But we have no idea how the bird flu occurs and how a person would be infected. I think this is merely precaution because the children are so young that they are apt to infection,” said a mother queuing outside a public hospital in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela. She brought her child here to be vaccinated. But this round of vaccine supply is limited, so people have to arrive as early as possible.Influenza A (H1N1), a life-threatening pandemic and the most common cause of human flu in 2009, was declared controlled by World Health Organisation last August. But A (H1N1) has come to spread over Venezuela since the middle of March this year, when the first patient infected with AH1N1 was diagnosed.
