Anna Hazare's hunger strike picks the momentum

Summary Indian social worker Anna Hazare's hunger strike against corruption entered third day on Thursday.

Bollywood stars, school students, civil society and social activists visited the hunger strike camp to express solidarity with Hazare.Hazare says he will not end his strike till the government proves its commitment to the Jan Lokpal Bill (Citizens Ombudsman Bill). As his hunger strike gained attention, hundreds of thousands of Indians came on roads in Gujarat, Ahmadabad, New Delhi and Mumbai to protest against the government’s corruption.The activist said that he was not afraid of death and if the government was serious in talks, Manmohan Singh or Sonia Gandhi should approach him as he would only talk to them.
