(Web Desk) – The story of a five-year-old girl’s lemonade stand in England being shut down for not being legal went viral last week resulting in an apology from the council.

However, that was not the end of the story as recently dozens of offers were received by the family offering the girl to set up lemonade stalls at events.

Andre Spicer let his daughter set up a lemonade stand near their home to the people heading towards a music festival in east London.

The little girl was asked to shut down her stall after four council officials came and gave the family a 150 pounds fine, leaving the girl in tears.

According to Telegraph, the Tower Hamlets Council has since cancelled the fine and hand-delivered a note to the family’s home to apologise.

Tower Hamlets Council has apologised for the incident, saying: “We expect our enforcement officers to show common sense, and to use their powers sensibly.

“This clearly did not happen.

“The fine will be cancelled immediately and we have contacted Mr Spicer and his daughter to apologise”.

Spicer tweeted, "We have been overwhelmed by the kind response from people across the world. Dozens of festivals, markets and businesses have offered us the opportunity to set up a lemonade stand.”

"We hope they will extend this invitation to others who d love to make a stand."

London’s Borough Market was among the extended offers for the girl if she’d like to sell some lemonade in their market.

Lee Fest also tweeted and has invited the little girl to sell lemonade at their upcoming festival in August.
