Summary The announcement for the Pakistan-West Indies series will be made next week.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selection committee has finalised the team for the series against West Indies but the announcement will be made after a meeting and consulting with Captain Shahid Afridi and PCB Chairman Ijaz Butt. On the other hand, after returning to Pakistan from the World Cup in India, Shahid Afridi has pulled out of the upcoming series, stating that he wants to spend some time with his family. According to PCB sources, batsman and wicket keeper Kamran Akmal, all rounder Abdul Razzaq and opener Ahmed Shehzad are unlikely to be included in the Pakistani squad. The team will leave for the Caribbean on April 13, where Pakistan will play one T-20 matche, five one-day international matches, and two test matches against West Indies. After the Caribbean series, Pakistan will face Ireland in a series of two one-day international matches.
