Summary Nurses in southern Punjab have threatened to stop attending emergency patients.
They have done so against the government’s failure to meet their demands.The boycott would continue unless their demands were accepted by the government, they said.The nurses had been holding protests for the last five days for health professional allowances and other demands in Multan and other cities of southern Punjab. However, they stopped work at surgical wards, OPDs and ICUs after receiving cold response from administration.The demonstrators also held a protest in front of DCO Office in Multan. They said that patients had to suffer due to apathy of government and hospital’s administration.
