Gas shedding takes people in Sindh by surprise

CNG gas supply was discontinued for 24 hours across the province including Karachi that is financial capital of the country, owing to scarcity of the gas.It is due to decreased gas production at Zamzama Gas Field that has led to the gas load shedding which will begin in Sindh at mid-day Tuesday to continue for at least 24 hours till today (Wednesday).The decision was made during a joint meeting of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and CNG Association, but the public were not fully informed about the decision, which led to many people being unable to fill their cylinders ahead of the suspension.
