Shahbaz Sharif expressed annoyance over non-availability of facilities for dengue patients and poor cleanliness at Benazir Bhutto Hospital. He suspended Medical Superintendent Dr Zaman Khan Niazi and ordered to initiate disciplinary action against him.The Chief Minister was going to Punjab House from Islamabad airport but he suddenly dropped in at Benazir Hospital without any schedule. He enquired about the eight dengue patients admitted there. He asked them about the healthcare facilities being provided to them but they as well as their attendants complained to the CM that they were not being treated well in the hospital.On The Chief Minister snubbed MS Dr Zaman Niazi by saying that the administrations’ behaviour does not reflect that emergency measures ordered for dengue patients. He said that neither sanitary condition is up to the mark nor was there any high alert. “Which type of head you are as there is not any organised monitoring system at the hospital,” Sharif asked the MS.He instructed that state-of-art facilities be provided to the patient especially suffering from dengue virus at BBH and a separate counter may be established for dengue patient only.It is to pertinent to mention here that the Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr Zaman Khan Niazi was suspended second time by the Chief Minister.
