Summary Police released a mentally challenged woman chained by her sons for one year.
As per details, Naziran Bibi, resident of Muhallah Qaiser Abad in Multan, was in chains for a year.On a tip-off, police conducted a raid and succeeded in releasing the ill-fated woman.Area people were of the view that she had been treated inhumanely, adding that she was tied with a window under the scorching sun. She used to weep and moan loudly but her sons had no soft corner for her.One the other hand, her sons claimed that their mother was mentally ill; that is why they had chained her. They were not in possession of sufficient amount to get her treated.Police said that the woman would be admitted to any welfare trust for further treatment.
