Summary The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) demolished the workshop of a private transportation company.
Workers of a private transportation company staged a protest against the demolishing of their workshop under the Punjab government’s anti-encroachment operation.The workers suspended their bus service and parked the company buses in the middle of Ferozpur Road and burnt tyres, causing traffic jam on the adjacent roads.The company also suspended its inter-city bus service, saying that the LDA employees tortured their men and broke the windows of busses and their office. The LDA authorities said that the workshop was built without fulfilling legal formalities.
