Summary Punjab Assembly has unanimously approved a resolution seeking cut in petroleum prices.

The assembly also demanded construction of Kalabagh Dam.As per details, when the resolution regarding reducing petroleum prices was tabled by PML-N member Ijaz Ahmad Khan, there were 14 members in the assembly. However, none of the members opposed the resolution.During the pre-budget discussion, Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan of Unification Group, Asghar Ali Manda of PML-N and Rana Tanveer termed ending energy crisis in the country utmost necessary. The assembly members were of the view that progress and prosperity in the country was impossible without the construction of Kalabagh Dam.Parliamentary Health Secretary Dr Saeed Ilahi said that 33 case of polio appeared last year across the province while only one case has been reported this year.
