Summary Afghan President Hamid Karzai has asked for Pakistan's cooperation in the Afghan peace process.
Afghan President Hamid Karzai telephoned Prime Minister Syed Youaf Raza Gilani on Tuesday and took him into confidence about his talks with the US President Barak Obama.Karzai asked for Pakistans cooperation in the Afghan Reconciliation Process. He said Pakistan has an important role to play in the maintenance of peace in Afghanistan.President Karzai also informed the Prime Minister about his meetings with the Pakistani political leadership during his recent visit to Islamabad. He said these meetings were useful and constructive.The Afghan President thanked the Prime Minister for his hospitability during his stay in the recently concluded trilateral summit in Islamabad.
