Summary The appointment of Punjabs Inspector General of Police (IGP) has been challenged in LHC.
The petitioner’s counsel Advocate Fakhir Razzaq took the stance in the plea filed in the Lahore High Court that IG Punjab was CCPO Lahore at the time of attack on Sri Lankan cricket team.The petitioner further said that the inquiry commission had suggested action against the CCPO but the government promoted and appointed him as Punjab IGP which is illegal and unconstitutional.
