Summary Punjab Assembly passed a resolution for the establishment of drug regulatory authority in province.
In the wake of uncontrolled drug deaths in the province, Punjab Assembly on Wednesday unanimously adopted a resolution for legislation to establish a provincial drug regulatory authority.Meanwhile, Pakistan Peoples Party-led opposition members protested non-release of development funds by the government, chanting slogans of “shame, Shame” before walking out of the assembly session.Leader of the Opposition in the house, PPP’s Raja Riaz said provincial law minister Rana Sana Ullah had held out assurance for release of funds but “he did not honour his pledges”.
