Court grants time to police to complete challans in cases against Anmol Pinky

KARACHI (Dunya News) – A Karachi court on Friday granted additional time to police investigation officers to complete challans of one murder and seven drug related cases registered against alleged drug trafficker Anmol alias Pinky.

During the proceedings, police investigation team appeared before the Judicial Magistrate South Court and requested additional time to submit the chalans.

The court accepted police request and granted time until June 9 to complete and submit the challans in six cases registered at Gizri Police Station and one case registered at Baghdadi Police Station.

In the Baghdadi police station case, the court fixed June 8 for recording the complainant's statement under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and directed the investigating officer to ensure the complainant's appearance before the court on the scheduled date.

Meanwhile, a hearing was also held in the District and Sessions Court South regarding the bail applications of alleged facilitators of Anmol Pinky in a case registered at Garden Police Station.

The court adjourned further proceedings on the bail applications of Sohail Rehman and Zeeshan until June 10, citing that the investigation has not yet been completed.
