Summary The power shortfall has reached 4800mw due to shortage of water, oil and gas.
According to PEPCO sources, the hydal power has reduced to 1000 megawatts as the canals are closed due to which total power generation has reduced to 4400megawatts while the demand is 12200 megawatts.The unannounced loadshedding duration has increased due to increase in shortfall. The National Power Control Centre suspends the power supply instead of distribution companies.The load shedding duration has increased by 8 to 16 hours in rural areas while 14 to 20 hours in rural areas.
