Talking to media at Karachi airport, Nawaz said he did not know as to who wants this meeting to take place.He said that the government should announce early election if it is sincere to democracy. He said that some of his party leaders wanted to resign from assemblies.He said he does not know about Aslam Raisanis statement regarding possible meeting with President Zardari.Nawaz Sharif said he did not arrive in Karachi on advice of President Zardari.Regarding a question about his potential moot with President Zardari, he came to know about his presence in the metropolis through media.Nawaz Sharif was scheduled to attend a meeting of the partys provincial council.There are law and order problems in the city, he said, adding that his party favors the restoration of old Bahawalpur and Hazara provinces.Nawaz Sharif said that Karachi was facing law and order and economic challenges. He said that he supported formation of new provinces on administrative grounds. He said that there was also a role of other political parties in Karachi.The former prime minister said that those were demanding new provinces in Punjab would eventually demand province in Sindh on ethnic basis.Nawaz Sharif said that his partys provincial council would elect its office-bearers.Addressing his party meeting, Mian Nawaz Sharif expressed regrets that Pakistan had gained nothing in its long 64 years life span, and was rather constantly mired in crisis.“Nations can scale moon (advanced progress) in 64 years time, but Pakistan was stuck at haggling over petty issues.”He scoffed at the fact that (64-years later) the nation was still a victim of vicious chain of load shedding, which had shred the national economy to pieces.He said that if PML-N policies had been followed regarding health, education, and other issues, there would have been no load shedding, while unemployment would have been non-existent, and masses would not have been forced to suffer.The PML-N chief cited massive reserves of minerals including the black gold, coal, which itself could usher in a massive economic resurgence, while also recalling the nostalgic days of yore when even India used to demand electricity from Pakistan, and said that only PML-N could (as it would) solve the crisis of masses of Sindh and rest of Pakistan.He also expressed deep dismay at the apathy of Sindh by the elected government, while the entire Sindh remained (partially) submerged in flood waters, even till today.On the occasion, he addressed (President) Zardari, asking him as to what extent PPP had fulfilled its commitment regarding Charted of Democracy (CoD), wishing that Zardari should at least had maintained the sagacity and honour of Benazir’s commitment to CoD). --Online
