An 11-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, is hearing the presidential reference seeking to reopen the murder trial of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.Justice Mehmood excused himself from the case.Later on, amicus curiae Aitzaz Ahsan submitted that he is loyal worker of Pakistan Peoples Party but will try to submit his opinion by setting aside the political affiliation. He said he is not worried over the concerns expressed by Ahmad Raza Kasuri and the court has to decide about his assistance in the case.Former law minister Babar Awan, counsel of the federation, also submitted his written arguments today.Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing of case till tomorrow.
