Summary PPP leader Babar Awan said that rope has been tightened around parliaments neck.
Speaking at a press briefing on Friday at Raja Riaz’s residence, he slammed PML-N chief and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for moving the Supreme Court of Pakistan in memogate case.He said that Sharif toppled Benazir governments in the past two times and was unable to bear the burden of heavy mandate in 1999. Awan said that Nawaz was uneasy with the Parliament and wanted to strangle it to death.He said that the PPP has restored democracy after giving countless sacrifices but some nonpolitical forces, which were enjoying politics in 1985, are trying to tighten rope around the parliament for their vested interests.Babar Awan claimed that there is no political turmoil and restless in any province of the country.People are pleased and satisfied with democracy but Punjab is being ruled by the people who lived with dictatorship for 20 years and had not uttered ever a single word against dictatorial regime, he concluded.
