The session of the Senate was held under the chair of acting Chairman Jan Jamali on Friday. The ANP’s senators held a walkout from the Senate over being written Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as KP on question booklets.PPP’s Arbab Alamgir wooed the angry senators in the session. Senator Abdul Malik said that government has not issued funds for welfare projects to Balochistan intentionally, adding that the government had intentionally stopped Balochistan’s welfare funds.PPP Senator Arbab Almgir Khan said that the government had spent more than Rs 18 billion on the construction of roads in four provinces while Rs 23 billion has been spent on the renovation of roads.He said that about Rs 40 billion have been estimated as loss to roads used for NATO supplies, adding that we have wrote to the NATO in this regard but there is no response from them in this regard.Fateha Khwani was also offered for the Rangers jawans martyred in Karachi incident. The Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that dead bodies of people killed in Iran would be brought back in the country. Session was adjourned for Monday.
