Summary SC Bar elections would be held tomorrow; Rashid A Rizwi and Yasin Azad would contest each other.
About 49 candidates including president, naib president and secretary are will contest the polls.More than 2200 lawyer throughout the country would use their right of vote in the elections of the Supreme Court Bar in Islamabad.In this regard, nine polling stations have been set in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Hyderabad, Quetta, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Bahawalpur and Multan.According to Returning Officer Raja Afrasyab, the SC’s lawyers who are posted on governorship, ministry or other government seats, would not be entitled to cast their votes.The tenure of current present Asima Jahangir and others is going to be complete on October 31 to be replaced by new ones from 1st November.
