Summary Lahore High Court has accepted a writ petition for hearing against appointment of the DCO Lahore.
When the Chief Justice started hearing of the case, the petitioner’s counsel said that Ahad Cheema is an officer of Grade-18 whereas he has been appointed against a post Grade-20 which is unconstitutional and illegal.The counsel further argued that the DCO has no experience of administrative affairs which is evident from his anti-dengue strategy particularly in Lahore.The petitioner requested the court to declare appointment of the DCO Lahore null and void. The Chief Justice has accepted the petition for hearing and sought an explanation from the Punjab government within 15 days.
