Summary The federal government has decided to increase the LPG and CNG prices.

According to sources, Rs 120 per metric ton duty will be imposed on LPG and CNG price will be increased by Rs 5 per kilogram. The sources said that Federal finance Minister Hafeez Shaikh will present POL Products Reformed Bill 2011 and Gas Infrastructure Development Bill 2011 in the senate meeting.The government will earn Rs 40 billion per annum by the approval of new bills.After the approval of POL Products Reformed Bill 2011, CNG price will go up by Rs 5 per kilogram and Rs 120 per metric ton duty will be imposed on LPG.It is pertinent mention to here that the government had increased CNG prices by 13.5 percent two months ago.
