The polling for by-election continues in constituency PP 220 in Sahiwal.The seat was vacated following the disqualification of former Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid MPA Pir Walayat Shah Khagga in fake degree case.At least 12 candidates are contesting the by-poll in constituency PP-220 where 160 polling stations with 392 polling booths are set up for the purpose.Strong competition is expected between PML-N candidate Pir Khizar Hayat Shah Khagga and joint candidate of PPP and PML-Q Pir Muzaffar Shah Khagga.The number of registered voters in the constituency is 136,925. Tight security arrangements have been made to maintain law and order situation in Sahiwal while local holiday is declared in the city on the occasion of by-polls.
