Protest against loadshedding: LHC seeks explanation from IG

Court summons have been issued in the name of IG in this regard.Advocate Mumtaz Sharif moved an application in the Lahore High Court in which he said that people were facing tremendous problems due to unannounced laodshedding, causing unemployment for them.On the other hand, the establishment had lodged fake and fabricated cases against protestors raising voice against government mismanagement.It was requested in the writ petition that the court should not only order to remove cases registered against protestors but also take legal action against the police officers involved in violence against innocent people.The court, after hearing preliminary arguments, issues notices and sought an explanation from the IG police.
