Summary The Lahore High Court has ordered PEPCO to submit schedule of laodshedding in the country.

When Justice Azmat Shaikh started hearing of the case the counsel for the petitioner Azhar Siddique was of the view that unannounced load shedding continued in the country, adding that all the districts including Lahore were in grip of loadshedding for 18 hours which has hampered the routine life.The petitioner was further of the view that to declare President House, Prime Minister House and the CM House exempt from loadshedding was equal to discriminatory treatment with the people.Justice Saeed, while accepting the application for hearing, sought explanation regarding the schedule of loadshedding from PEPCO till October 11.On the other hand, the Lahore High Court Chief Justice has accepted the petition, seeking to declare Lahore exempt from loadshedding due to dengue virus and issued notices to the federal government, WAPDA and LESCO officials for October 7.
