Summary Dr Asma Jehangir says all vacant slots of Apex Court be filled before elections of governing body.
Addressing the Balochistan High Court Bar on Tuesday, the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) said the election should not influence the results of SCBA elections.“I am not a sub-ordinate of the executives. I say things in line with my conscience,” she remarked. “Under the prevailing situation, Balochistan has great importance and those who are playing secret games, attach huge importance to the restive province,” she said.Taking about her remarks on suo motu notice, the SCBA chief said that it should not be taken on every matter as objections had been raised against it. She said that the SCBA had strongly condemned the Mastung massacre, adding that mutilated bodies were recovered from Balochistan.It may be mentioned here that the Balochistan High Court (BHC) had issued a notice to Ms Jehangir for her remarks against the suo motu notice of Mastung attack.
