Summary Over two dozen suspects, including a target killer, have been arrested in Karachi operation.
Special Investigation Unit launched a crackdown on Katti Pahari and after an encounter arrested a man accused of target-killing three persons.The force said the arrested man has been identified as Nooruddin. On the basis of information gleaned from him, a corpse buried in Data Nagar, Orangi Town has been recovered. A torture cell set up in a basement has been closed down and two pistols recovered.Separately, Rangers launched an operation in Gizri and Zia Colony of Korangi and rounded up over two dozen suspects. Arms and ammunition have also been seized.On a tip-off, a heavy contingent of Rangers swooped on T&T Colony, Gizri and arrested several suspects of involvement in criminal activities. Similarly, Rangers sealed off Zia Colony for four hours and held at least 10 people in door-to-door search. The suspects would be fully screened.
