Summary Several villages were inundated as dike of Satluj River broke in Jetra area of Vehari.
Several villages submerged and hundreds of acres of crop affected near Head Islam due to flood in Satluj River.The villages include, Mehro, Baloch, Bhindi Fareed Khan, Muhammad Islam, Yar Muhammad, Basti Hassan Khan, Basti Sher Muhammad, Basti Muzaffar Khan, Basti Shah Muhammad and Basti Allah Dad.The flood water has gathered in the crops while the residents of the area have been forced to shift at safer places.On the other hand, a large number of snakes in the floodwater has created fear in the local population.
