Summary At least three people have been killed in the city in rain-related incidents on Tuesday.
Unprecedented heavy rain has been lashing Karachi for the last two days. All the private and government educational institutions have been closed.According to media reports, unrelenting rain is playing havoc in the metropolis for the last two days due to which the wall of a house collapsed in Nazimabad area, killing two people.Rainwater has flooded MA Jinnah Road, II Chundrigar Road, Shara-e-Faisal and other roads that caused a traffic gridlock. Electric supply remained suspended to Jinnah and civil hospitals that caused further suffering to the patients.Residents of affected areas complained that rainwater had flooded houses in various parts of Karachi. People started saying Azaans from their homes and mosques to seek mercy, to have incessant rains stopped.The Metrological Department has forecast further rains on Wednesday in different localities of the metropolis.Another report meanwhile said that the Presidents residence in Nawab Shah has also been surrounded by rainwater.
