Pakistan, India sign MoU to curb smuggling

Summary Pakistan and India agreed to exchange information to halt narcotics smuggling.

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed to stop pharmaceutical drug as well.In this regard, DGs of Anti-Narcotics Forces of both countries held a meeting in which Indian Narcotics Control Board Director General OPS Mullik said that a legal framework has come into existence regarding anti-narcotics strategy.Pakistan ANF Director General Major Syed Shakeel Hussain said that Pakistan had been declared opium-free country in 2001. Likewise, it would also be made narcotics-free land.
