Karachi: Rainwater inundates low lying areas

Heavy quantity of water accumulated in low areas causing tremendous problems for passengers.As per detail, rain continued for the second day while water entered into the houses and shops of the people.It is worth mentioning that more than Rs 30 million have been spent on cleansing of nullahs. Local government had claimed to complete all the arrangement to face any emergency situation in the city but all their heavy claims proved futile.Indifference of the government and criminal negligence of the administration have turned the city into pond of dirty water. Experts have warned that if administration did not take it serious and eliminate encroachments on these nullahs, the city would have to face such condition once again.
