Summary A three-day international conference arranged by the Supreme Court came to an end in Lahore.

‘Justice for All, Exemption for None’ conference started on September 9 in which a large number of lawyers from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan participated.Addressing last session of the conference, LHC Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry said that people have great expectations from court as compared to other institutions. At least, the number of cases in LHC is approximately 136000 which have to be lingered on due to lawyers boycott.“If lawyers’ community adopts some other way of protest, these cases may be tackled properly”, he added.Indian Supreme Court Bar Association president Praween H Parka said that both the countries are in dire need of peace, adding that Pakistan and India cannot make progress without peace in country.
