Summary Several cities are at risk of flooding as water level in the saline nullah of Badin is rising.
Shadi Laraj, Pangairo and Malkani Sharif areas have been ordered evacuated.The flood threat to Badin has increased after drainage of 40,000 cusec rainwater into the LBOD saline nullah from various areas including Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allah Yar, Mirpur Khas and Nawab Shah. Several villages of Badin already have been flooded by ongoing rains. Uncountable people are still stranded in the flooded villages.The district administration has ordered emergency evacuations in Khoski, Shadi Laraj, Pangairo and Malkani Sharif. However, the people are left at the mercy of fate as no arrangements have been made by the state for evacuations.
