Summary Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif admitted helplessness of the government in face of dengue virus.
He formed a committee to conduct an inquiry into poor medicines provided to the affected patients.He also said that the people who had committed criminal negligence and corruption for their vested interests at the cost of common man’ life should be ‘hanged’.The CM held an open kutchery regarding anti-dengue virus spray in which people showed their reservations.Shahbaz said that mosquito had become a challenge for them but they would do all it takes to overcome the crisis.He said that nine town committees led by MNAs had been formed which would review steps taken in this regard.The CM also sought an explanation on casualties caused by dengue virus. He said that a door-to-door campaign would be started for end of dengue virus, adding that he and his team would render this service considering it a Jihad.
