Malir Bar requests to be party in Karachi case

Chief Justice has said the extortion has aggravated the situation in Karachi. Mali Bar has filed a plea to be a party in the case. The 5-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry is hearing the case.Jamaat Islami, Awami Tehrik and Friends of Layari attorneys completed their arguments. The CJP directed to appoint non-political officials to control the situation who only abide by the law. The CJP also said no evidence have been recorded as yet, although the second week of hearing has begun. The JI attorney said whosoever raises his voice against extortion or target killing is killed in Karachi.
